Quantity Surveyor – Up to £55,000 DOE Car / Allowance Comprehensive Package First Task Professional are currently working alongside a civil engineering contractor who are gearing up for an extremely busy few years with multiple wins within big civil engineering projects in the energy / power sector. As such, they have a requirement for multiple QS to work on projects in both the delivery stages and pre-construction. Why join them? Naturally, most substations and converter stations are in more remote locations… so there is a high likelihood of having to work away (with hybrid working) for the jobs. Responsibilities: * Ensure safety, environmental, and company standards * Communicate with project teams and clients * Mentor junior commercial staff * Manage subcontractor contracts and payments * Track costs and produce reports * Support project strategy and risk management * Handle change control and contract compliance * Submit monthly payment applications * Advise on commercial/contractual matters * Manage workloads and deliver training Key Criteria * Experience as QS with main contractor * Proficient in Excel and Word * ECI / Preconstruction experience * and target cost contract experience (Desirable) * Working toward CICES or equivalent (Desirable) * NEC Contract Experience Get in touch with Gregor Devlin at First Task Professional for more info
