This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sheet Metal Welder / Fabricator to join a modern, fast-paced workshop with excellent long-term prospects.
The Role
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies while working from detailed engineering drawings.
Duties Include:
* TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel
* Fabrication work on materials from 1.0mm 12mm thickness
* Welding sub-assemblies and main assemblies using jigs or freehand methods
* Pipework fabrication and welding
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
* Sanding and grinding components to required finish standards
* Building assembly weld fixtures
* Supporting continuous improvement within the workshop
What Were Looking For
* Strong experience in thin gauge TIG & MIG welding
* Proven sheet metal fabrication experience
* Ability to work confidently from engineering drawings
* Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
* Good attention to detail and quality standards
* Physically xsngvjr fit and comfortable with manual handling
* Engineering apprenticeship or City & Guilds welding/fabrication qualifications desirable
