Cargo Superintendent
WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Cargo Superintendent to join the team in Liverpool, UK.
The Cargo Superintendent’s main focus is to oversee the discharge (or loading) of cargoes, monitoring / auditing client storage locations and working as part of the Drax contract team to undertake cargo sampling (both mechanical and manual) and sample preparation duties.
Shift Pattern – 182 hours per month which could fall on any day of the week on a flexible shift working rota.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
1. Excellent communication and IT skills.
2. Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly inform others.
3. Excellent administrative skills with experience of writing reports.
4. Strong relationship building skills internally and externally.
5. Highly motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities
Required Work Experience
6. Proven background within the shipping or ports sectors.
Required Qualifications
7. Valid Clean UK Driving Licence
Travel
8. Travel may be required to work between various AHK locations to support the business needs to fulfill the Drax contract.
9. The role requires flexibility to work in various locations, including overnight stays when necessary.
