My client is looking for an experienced chef that can make sure that a nutritionally balanced food offering is made for the residents and staff.
Keen eye for food safety and hygiene management
* Write in kitchen day book what is needed to do with the weekend food. (use book as guide for level of instructions needed)
* Fridge door sheets need to be completed.
* Ensure kitchen is kept clean, eg floors, worktops.
* Meals are served x2 a day 12pm and 5pm
* Up to 16 residents- lunch includes up to 12 staff/ tea includes up to 4 staff
* Staff will serve themselves in the kitchen, residents in the main room= self-service (buffet style). Any residents in isolation will need plates made up. Staff to confirm numbers
* Residents are responsible for washing up their pots etc, but you will need to run them through dishwasher
* No Cooking with nuts, use allergen labels.
One day cover to help client, but they do regularly need shifts so could be a good extra for the future too!
