The post holder will be responsible for the general day-to-day operational functions of the Pharmacy Store, including providing a high-quality and efficient pharmacy distribution and goods-in service at Queens Hospital Burton On Trent.
The pharmacy logistics team is welcoming and friendly. We are a diverse team and offer support to all new starters.
A pharmacy NVQ Level 2 qualification would be advantageous but is not essential, as training and education can be provided.
Hours of work: 8.15am - 4.15pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
* Participate in the topping-up service to wards & departments at Queens Hospital Burton On Trent.
* Assist in the ad hoc supply of stock items to wards & departments.
* Participate in the supply & distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards & departments.
* Assist in the receipt of all goods delivered to Pharmacy stores, checking goods received against delivery documents, recording batch numbers & expiry dates, and updating the pharmacy stock control system.
* Ensure products are stored in the correct areas.
* Perform waste management & disposal of return medicines, including hazardous items.
* Participate in stock checks.
* Provide customer-focused service, including dealing with Trust staff at the hatch or receipt area.
