Overview
Our friendly District Nursing team in Bridport and Lyme are looking for a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join their team for a 6 month secondment. Full training and support will be offered to the successful candidate. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide a high standard of nursing care to people in their own homes.
Responsibilities
* Wound care
* Palliative care
* IV drug administration
* Medication/injection administration
* Diabetes management
* And many other diverse skills
Working pattern
There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata. Our late shift covers until 8pm.
Training and development
With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills.
Requirements
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust will cover the cost. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
* Registration as a nurse (Band 5) with the appropriate professional body
