Overview
St Stephen's Primary School is seeking a Personal Welfare Support Assistant to join our team. This is a term-time-only role (25 hours per week), available ASAP. The position is temporary/part-time for 12 months due to funding, with potential extension subject to funding.
Responsibilities
* Caring and patient personality with an empathetic approach to the needs of the child.
* Positive attitude towards supporting and interacting with a pupil who has autism.
* Communicate with staff and contribute to the planned support for the pupil.
* Work within a team while using initiative to support the pupil’s learning.
* Provide personal care to the pupil alongside other staff members.
Qualifications
* A knowledge and understanding of the condition of autism and how it affects a child’s communication and interaction skills would be helpful.

* Grade 2 SCP3 – £24,796 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £14,475.84).
* Hours: 25 per week, term-time only.
