Head of Commercial & Marketing (18‑month FTC) – Lancaster
Salary: £47,389–£56,535, Location: Lancaster (Hybrid)

It also runs several commercial services including a lettings agency and nightclub. We are seeking an individual with entrepreneurial flair who can develop the commercial services, while working collaboratively with colleagues. The successful candidate will bring fresh ideas and innovate existing services and ensure services are relevant for now and the future.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to LUSU’s overall strategic planning and development alongside other senior colleagues and the Board.
* Assess the commercial performance of all the businesses.
* Set the vision and strategy for commercial teams.
* Lead the strategic and operational management of the Sugarhouse nightclub, LUSU Living, and Commercial Marketing services.
* Drive business growth through effective planning, innovation and performance management.
* Ensure commercial activities comply with relevant legislation, licensing and regulatory standards.
* Develop and implement a marketing strategy that enhances the profile of LUSU.
* Deliver strategic reports to the Board.
Qualifications / Desired Experience
An entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of developing commercial services in a university or similar environment; strong strategic and operational leadership; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; and a passion for innovation and student life.
