SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants - Mainstream Primary Schools across Sutton
Location: Sutton, Surrey, South LondonContract: Flexible long-term contracts available
Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?Tradewind Recruitment have a wealth of opportunities available for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with varying mild, moderate and severe learning difficulties in mainstream primary school settings.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1
* Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation
* Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
* Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
* Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
* Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
* Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
* Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
* Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability)
