Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR 1D - £16,

GSL Education London Branch are delighted to be working with a thriving coeducational comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. The school is seeking a passionate and skilled Head of Humanities (Geography Specialist) to lead a high-achieving Humanities department and support students in reaching their full potential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Head of Humanities to make a real impact on young people’s lives while working in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and inspire the Humanities department as Head of Humanities.
* Deliver outstanding lessons in Geography, and support the teaching of other Humanities subjects.
* Monitor, track and support student progress across the department.
* Plan, develop and implement innovative schemes of work that raise achievement.
* Provide professional development opportunities for team members.
* Contribute to whole-school improvement as part of the leadership of your subject area.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience as a Head of Humanities or in a similar leadership role.
* Strong subject knowledge in Geography, with the ability to teach up to A-Level.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A passion for Humanities education and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and raising standards.
