Offer description

We're looking for a Volunteer who can lead on the research, planning and execution of fundraising activities in the Peterborough area! We're looking for someone who can coordinate a team of fearless fundraisers with the support of the Fundraising Hub.

Overview

The Fundraising Team Leader role will have a significant and lasting impact on our organisation by strengthening both our financial sustainability and our community engagement. By inspiring and coordinating a team of fundraising volunteers, this role ensures that we can continue to provide essential care and support for cats in need.

The funds raised through local events directly enable us to cover vital costs such as veterinary treatment, food, shelter, and rehabilitation. Without consistent and creative fundraising efforts, many of these services would be at risk. A strong team leader brings structure, motivation, and fresh ideas, helping volunteers to organize successful and engaging events that maximise income while raising awareness of our work.

Beyond the financial contribution, this role plays a key part in building a sense of community around our cause. By supporting and encouraging volunteers, the Fundraising Team Leader helps individuals feel valued and connected, increasing volunteer retention and satisfaction. This creates a more resilient and committed volunteer base, which is essential for the long‑term success of our organisation.

The role also expands our reach within the local community. Well‑organised fundraising events not only generate income but also promote our mission, educate the public about responsible pet ownership, and highlight the importance of animal welfare. This increased visibility helps us attract new supporters, adopters, and volunteers, further amplifying our impact.

Ultimately, the Fundraising Team Leader ensures that our organisation can continue to deliver life‑saving and life‑enhancing services for cats, while also strengthening the network of people who support our work.
