Residential Project Worker / Assistant Project Worker

We are seeking passionate, compassionate, and genuinely caring individuals to join our dynamic LOVE@Care Team. Whether you are applying as a Project Worker or Assistant Project Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering personalised, person-centred care and empowering young people to achieve the goals outlined in their support plans.
The Role
As a Project Worker / Assistant Project Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Building positive, trusting relationships with young people and acting as a strong role model.
* Supporting young people within the community, attending clubs, classes, activities and structured programs.
* Planning and delivering activities aligned with individual goals and desired outcomes.
* Following, reviewing and updating individual Care Plans.
* Creating Care Plans and supporting Assistant Project Workers (Project Worker level).
* Supporting staff supervisions and conducting spot checks (Project Worker level).
* Working in partnership with parents, carers, and partner agencies to ensure the best opportunities are available.
* Attending meetings and contributing to effective, supportive team working.
* Communicating clearly and documenting relevant information and updates to colleagues and management.
* Managing and responding appropriately to challenging situations.
* Maintaining a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and Child Protection legislation at all times.
You will work in a positive, respectful and empowering way to promote achievement, independence and healthy relationships.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
* Have experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviour and/or additional support needs.
* Have experience working with children and families.
* Can confidently manage and respond to challenging situations.
* Are able to promote positive relationships and act as a strong, consistent role model.
* Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation.
* Have knowledge of GIRFEC and Curriculum for Excellence (desirable).
* Hold a valid UK driving license.
For Project Worker applicants:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children with challenging behaviour and/or additional support needs within a residential setting.
* SVQ 3 in Social Care (or equivalent) essential.
* Experience creating Care Plans and supporting staff.
Experience supporting young people with Autism or Learning Disabilities is advantageous (personal or professional), however not essential as we provide ongoing mentoring, training, and development opportunities.
