Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location – Selby, North Yorkshire
What you will be doing:
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to act as the commercial lead on our £20m Selby Station Gateway and public realm upgrade project in North Yorkshire. You will take ownership of all commercial and contractual processes, leading, developing and constructively challenging the project team to ensure opportunities and risks are effectively managed. This role will be key in ensuring the project is delivered within budget, to the highest quality standards, and exceeds customer expectations, with regular reporting to the Commercial Manager and Directors.
* Promote and maintain a safe, compliant working environment for all staff and supply chain partners
* Lead, develop and support the commercial team to deliver strong performance and best practice
* Produce accurate monthly reporting, including CVRs, cost plans and forecasting to support effective decision‑making
* Manage main contract administration, including valuations, payments, change control and commercial reporting
* Oversee subcontract packages, including procurement, payments, change management and performance management
* Ensure all commercial activities are delivered in line with contractual requirements and company management procedures
About you:
* Good appreciation of NEC contracts
* Strong IT skills including Excel, Word & Contractual and Cost Management Systems
* Experience of working on large single or multiple smaller schemes
* CSCS appropriate
* First class time and outcome management skills
* Professional qualification such as CICES or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member, working towards full membership (Desirable)
