Prominent within the Engineering industry, they offer a range of engineering services providing end to end solutions in Design, Fabrication and Installation. They serve a wide range of industries including Biopharma, Data Centres, Food and Beverage, Power Generation and Pharmaceutical, and have completed projects throughout Europe. The role: They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial aspects of Engineering projects are accurately monitored and controlled. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control methodologies, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders throughout the project duration. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for Engineering projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate pricing and timely procurement of materials. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors. Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Provide support during project execution by assessing changes in scope and their impact on costs. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. Skills Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices within the Engineering or construction industry. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools for cost estimation and analysis. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling collaboration with diverse teams. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred, along with relevant professional qualifications.
