We are recruiting for our client, an international research and strategy consultancy. They're looking for a Research Manager to join their quantitative research team on a 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover). There is also potential for this role to become permanent with the planned expansion of the team.
The role
* Manage and support quantitative research projects, delivering strategic insights across a mix of ad-hoc and tracker studies
* Lead client briefings for smaller projects and play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from questionnaire design through analysis and reporting
* Deliver concise analysis and engaging outputs that tell a clear story with commercial impact
* Support the drafting of proposals and contribute to identifying new business opportunities
* Co-ordinate junior research colleagues, suppliers, and resources to deliver projects on time and on budget
* Contribute to brainstorming, storyboarding, and presentation development, ensuring high quality standards
* Mentor and coach junior colleagues, with responsibility for direct reports such as Research Assistants, Executives, or Senior Executives
* Play an active role in fostering a positive, collaborative team culture
Key requirements
* Experience in quantitative research within a research agency environment
* B2B research experience preferred (especially SaaS, web/app development, or advertising), though not essential
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling stories
* Excellent communication skills across written, visual, and verbal formats
* Confident in writing questionnaires and screeners
* Experience with data analysis techniques and tools; familiarity with Q is a plus (training can be provided)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
* A collaborative and proactive mindset with a client-focused approach
* Knowledge of GDPR and Market Research Society (MRS) Code of Conduct
* Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
