Lecturer – Music

Salary: £29,725 – £37,527 per annum (pro‑rate)

Hours: 30.83 hrs per week, all year round

Contract: Permanent

Location: Stamford College

We're looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Music to join our creative team and shape the next wave of talent in our UAL Level 3 Music Production & Performance programme. What you’ll be doing

* Deliver engaging lessons across music production and performance – inspiring students to reach their full potential.
* Plan, assess, and provide meaningful feedback that helps learners grow both technically and creatively.
* Coordinate elements of the course, ensuring high‑quality delivery and effective internal verification.
* Support students with live briefs, performances, and real‑world industry experiences.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously develop and enhance our curriculum.
* Embed essential English and maths skills into your teaching.


About you

* Has strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of music production, performance, composition and technology.
* Can inspire and motivate learners through creative, student‑centred teaching.
* Brings industry or teaching experience (or ideally both).
* Is confident using music technology software and digital tools.
* Holds (or is willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification.
