Shift Work (12-hour days and nights) £16.50 / hour
Your Role
As a key member of the production team, you will:
1. Operate 360 Excavators with timber grabs and other mobile plant machinery (training provided if required).
2. Support the day-to-day running of the log yard and raw board production areas.
3. Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all plant, vehicles, and equipment.
4. Accurately complete shift reports, capturing key production data.
5. Participate in structured training to safely and effectively operate all areas of the log yard and raw board department.
6. Report hazards, incidents, or machinery issues to the Shift Supervisor and Engineering team.
7. Support colleagues by covering for absences (e.g., holidays, training, sickness) to help maintain high production efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
8. Previous experience operating a 360 Excavator with a timber grab (essential or a strong advantage).
9. A valid Forklift Truck licence (or willingness to train).
10. A Loading Shovel licence (desirable – training available).
11. Good communication and teamwork skills.
12. Willingness and ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern (including nights).
