Through Spire Space Services, customers build and operate their own satellite constellations on top of Spire's proven satellite, ground, and web infrastructure. In your role, you will be instrumental in our customers' success, assisting with the schedule and budget of the deployment of their applications to space. The Role: As a Project Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of implementation and maintenance of controls for each assigned project. This includes initial planning, schedule maintenance, budget control, risk and opportunity mitigation and project baseline control. The role also includes providing support to project managers. The successful candidate will work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure project controls are up-to-date within scope and budget. This role will work across several departments to ensure aspects of various programs are compatible with resources to fulfill program requirements. Responsibilities: Generating and updating the schedule, including baseline management. Supporting reviews of the schedule including the critical path, task status, resource loading/forecast and overall health of the logic and dependencies. Generation of schedule scenarios in a sandpit environment to assess secondary, tertiary critical paths, or assess options to reduce timelines Maintenance and analysis of spend vs. budget relative to project spend profile, maintaining an estimate to complete Identifying trends, analysis of variance and recommendation of root cause/corrective action - both for schedule performance and cost performance indicators Facilitating formal change control on projects including any impact to budget, schedule, resources and the contract Proactive maintenance of risk and opportunity management, ensuring key actions are represented in the schedule and progress is being made towards risk/opportunity retiral Working with project leadership to identify and implement appropriate metrics Required Experience: At least 2 years' proven experience working as a Project Controller / Scheduler / Planner, ideally within the aerospace or defence industry. Effective planning and organising, adapts to changing and competing priorities within a fast-paced 24/7 global business. Pro-active with a solutions-based approach, willing to challenge the status quo. Collaborative, self-motivated and proactive interfacing effectively across the business. Demonstrates ownership, works autonomously, and supports wider team activities. Analytical skills, and a strong ability to work with detail and accuracy. Committed to continuous improvement, development of skills and processes. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Experience: Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or applicable field of study Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in office.
