GSL Education are recruiting a committed MFL Teacher to join a welcoming school community in the DN2 and DN6 post codes. This position suits someone who can deliver engaging lessons while building students’ confidence in using a modern foreign language.
As a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher, you will help learners build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering curiosity, cultural awareness, and real-life language application.
Main Responsibilities:
* Teach well-structured lessons that develop core language skills across different year groups.
* Encourage accurate pronunciation, vocabulary growth, and independent learning.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive, clear feedback.
* Use engaging activities and resources to support varied learning styles.
* Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
* Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.
Requirements of MFL Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching a modern foreign language within a school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering lessons that meet curriculum standards.
* Effective communication and behaviour-management skills.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
