<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>The Department of Land Economy and Newnham College wish to appoint an Isaac Newton Trust Academic Career Development Fellow in Urban and Regional Economics for a period of three years starting 30th September 2026.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ol><li>Carry out research in Urban and Regional Economics, including environmental economics and regulation, within the Department of Land Economy.</li><li>Teach and examine undergraduate courses and supervise undergraduate and MPhil postgraduate work, especially in migration or planning.</li><li>Contribute to the administration and other activities of the Department of Land Economy and Newnham College.</li><li>Develop a research project that can be completed within the three‑year period of the Fellowship and publish the results.</li></ol><h3>Requirements</h3><ol><li>Teaching strengths in central areas of urban and regional economics, including environmental economics and regulation.</li><li>Experience using quantitative methods in research or teaching.</li><li>Published work or significant publications in the specialist field.</li><li>Experience supervising postgraduate work is desirable.</li></ol><h3>Application Materials</h3><ul><li>A covering letter</li><li>A full Curriculum Vitae and a statement of areas of teaching competence</li><li>A statement of the research project to be pursued during the Fellowship</li><li>A sample of recent work not exceeding 10,000 words</li></ul></div>
