Angel Meadow School is an independent special school for 11–16-year-olds with EHCPs. Our pupils have a wide range of needs including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and SEMH. We are committed to being a small, ambitious, and nurturing community where every pupil is supported to achieve their potential.
We are seeking committed Teaching Assistants to join our growing team. Some posts will focus on 1:1 support for pupils with specific needs, while others will involve general classroom support across small groups.
We welcome applications from candidates seeking full-time or part-time (0.5–0.9 FTE) posts.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs, ensuring individual needs are met.
* Support teaching and learning in small-group settings (maximum of 5 pupils).
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery, adapting resources for pupils with SEND/SEMH.
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement in learning.
* Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, supporting their wellbeing.
* Help monitor and record pupil progress against EHCP targets.
* Support learning and behaviour in the Alternative Provision when required.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals.
* Provide supervision and encouragement during unstructured times (breaks, lunch, trips).
* Participate in CPD, training, and staff meetings.
* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
* Contribute to enrichment activities, trips, and after-school provision.
