The Assembly Technician will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role requires being onsite 5 days a week.
The salary for this role is up to £27k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
* Working in a multi-skilled production team, responsible for providing assembly and machining support to Production and Engineering teams. Collaborating closely with Wiring Technicians, Test Technicians, and Engineers to ensure products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
* Providing training support for company apprentices to gain experience with machine tools, developing their skills, promoting shop H&S, and instilling good housekeeping practices.

The skills you need
* Experience in a skilled assembly technician, mechanical assembly, or electro-mechanical role.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
* Experience with hand soldering, polymer moulding, component handling, wire identification.
* Competency with measurement tools like volt meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
* Relevant engineering or technical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or significant relevant experience.
