Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Consultant Intensivists to join our team of Consultants in the Intensive Care Unit, part of the Directorate of Anaesthesia, Theatres and Critical Care. The unit has received the rating of Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
Responsibilities
* This is a full time substantive 10 PA consultant post comprising 8.25 DCC and 1.75 SPA, with consideration for less than full-time working to suit service needs; additional sessions may be available on request.
* The post is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the new Consultant Contract (2003).
* In addition to appraisal, job plans for all consultants will be reviewed at least annually in conjunction with the Chief of Service and the Associate Director.
* The successful applicant will take part in developing services within the Trust and share clinical, administrative and teaching work with other consultants in the department.
* Participation in Clinical Audit is a requirement and an ongoing activity in the Department.
* Clinical research projects are encouraged.
