The Opportunity
Global Highland is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local chip shop in Muir of Ord for a Chef / Fryer to join their busy team.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone with a passion for cooking and delivering high-quality takeaway food. Experience as a fryer is desirable; however, candidates with general cooking experience who are eager to learn will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen & Cooking Duties
• Preparing and cooking traditional chip shop food including fish, chips, and other menu items
• Operating fryers safely and efficiently
• Ensuring food is cooked to a high standard and served promptly
• Maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation
General Kitchen Operations
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
• Assisting with stock control and storage
• Supporting team members during busy service periods
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
Essential
• Previous cooking or kitchen experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and reliability
Desirable
• Previous experience working as a fryer xcswzye
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
What’s on Offer
• Salary: £25,000 per annum
• Working pattern: 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
