Mechanical Stress Engineer - Defence Sector
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Stress Engineer to join our team in the defence sector. The successful candidate will conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions
* Estimate, plan, lead, and deliver structural analysis work packages using classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable)
* Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports, conveying complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management
* Develop and improve methods, processes, and tools proactively
* Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering professional growth
* Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to network, influence, and manage stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline or significant experience in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Analysis)
* Proven experience in structural analysis work packages
* Proficiency in classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable)
* Strong skills in preparing and presenting technical reports
* Proactive and passionate about developing and improving methods, processes, and tools
* Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
* Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
