Shop Assistant – Sue Ryder Charity shop, Unit 3 Binhamy Retail Park, Bude, Cornwall. EX23 8BA
Hours: 7.5 hours per week over 7 days. Salary: £12.21 per hour + rewards & benefits.

Sue Ryder is one of the largest charity retailers in the UK with over 400 shops. Every item sold funds our care and support services, including 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement and emotional support each year.
We offer a varied range of shops across high streets, including boutiques, vintage and retro stores. As part of the retail team, you’ll help inspire communities to support more care for more people through innovative approaches and collaboration.
We value our people and aim to make you feel valued as part of the team. Retail roles typically involve weekend work; managers work mainly 1 in 2. Our shops do not usually open late past 5:15 pm. The earliest start is 8:45 am. We have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off.
Our Bude superstore is located at Binhamy Retail Park with free parking on the far side of the park and disabled parking at the front.
The store offers a wide range of seasonal ladies’, men’s and children’s clothing, books, music, DVDs, furniture, homeware and electrical items.
Responsibilities
* Help maximise donated income through proactive stock generation, pricing, processing stock to agreed levels and stock planning.
* Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping; prioritise health and safety for you and colleagues.
* Manage stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
* Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in-store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
* Assist customers with purchases and help present a well-presented shop environment; may involve lifting heavy goods or furniture.
