Job Summary – The Finance Services team at the University of Exeter has a development opportunity for a recent graduate looking to pursue a career in management accounting. You will support with a range of tasks that will allow you to gain practical management accountancy experience, data and reporting skills, and all while working with a range of stakeholders to develop your communication skills. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours per week) for 11 months. You can work both remotely and from offices based in Northcott House on Streatham Campus in Exeter. (Your office day will be set on a Monday). For more information on the GBP scheme, please visit
About You – You should be a graduate who has attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word (including use of spreadsheets for calculations and reporting), and has strong numerical and analytical skills. You should have the ability to manage confidential information with discretion, have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, have a willingness to learn new systems, processes, and accounting concepts, have a flexible approach to tasks and teamworking and an interest in developing a career in finance. Experience in using a financial system, an understanding of Higher Education and working towards or interested in pursuing a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA), are all desirable but not essential.
