You will be Supporting young people between the ages of 5-18 with Learning/Physical disabilities, complex health needs, autism and challenging behaviours. To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes. Keeping on top of household chores such as cleaning & doing laundry To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed. Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the individual's care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication. Supporting with personal care and medication Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's lives such as Psychologists. The successful candidate: Experience as a Children's Support Worker, or within a similar social care setting or with Young People is desirable but not essential.
