We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to lead and develop the culinary operation at a major hospitality and events venue in the York area.
This is a unique opportunity for a chef who wants more than simply running a kitchen.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping menus, developing food concepts, improving standards and influencing the future direction of the food offering across the venue.
The operation delivers a diverse range of hospitality experiences including conferences, corporate events, private functions, executive hospitality, premium dining, retail catering and large-scale event catering.
Reporting to the Regional Executive Chef, you will have genuine autonomy to develop the culinary side of the business whilst working closely with a supportive senior leadership team.
This role would suit a hands-on Head Chef who enjoys being operational, leading from the front and driving continuous improvement rather than sitting behind a desk.
Lead all culinary operations across the venue
Take ownership of food quality, presentation and consistency
Develop innovative seasonal menus across multiple service styles
Drive improvements across hospitality, retail and event catering operations
