Role Overview
The Team Leader will play a key role in leading an operative-level team and will be accountable for health & safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery standards within the area. This is a hands-on leadership position within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting operational excellence and team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team at operative level
* Promote strong leadership, communication, and organisational standards
* Monitor staffing levels and act upon staffing requirements
* Ensure all team members are trained to a competent level to carry out duties safely and correctly
* Maintain appropriate skill levels within the team
* Ensure all hygiene systems and relevant paperwork are completed accurately and on time
* Analyse, review, and communicate team performance regularly
* Understand and implement effective cleaning practices
* Manage staff rotas and holidays using TMS
* Understand and support environmental and allergen swabbing regimes
* Step up to Manager role to provide cover during holiday periods
* Promote a professional and positive attitude at all times
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Minimum 2 year’s experience in an FMCG hygiene role
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Shift Pattern:
Nights, Sunday-Thursday, 22:00-06:30
