The Role:
As Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will own the end-to-end delivery of AI and data programs across TWG's businesses and enterprise customers. This is a bridge role turning strategy into clear roadmaps, coordinating across engineering, data, security, and business stakeholders, and ensuring that AI initiatives not only launch but also land with measurable impact. The TPM ensures that programs execute predictably, compliantly, and with business outcomes realized in production.
Responsibilities:
* Build and manage program plans for AI, data, and platform initiatives: scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
* Run execution rituals: standups, risk reviews, release planning, and readiness checks, keeping teams unblocked and on track.
* Translate strategy into roadmaps and OKRs, aligning leaders and external partners on priorities and tradeoffs.
* Ship secure, compliant AI products in regulated environments by partnering with Security, Legal, and Compliance.
* Manage vendors and partners (cloud, platform, AI vendors), ensuring deliverables and SLAs are met.
* Improve lifecycle reliability: establish SDLC and MLOps checkpoints, model promotion criteria, rollback plans, and observability.
* Deliver executive reporting: dashboards on schedule, budget, risk, value, and adoption.
* Drive change management and adoption: training, documentation, phased rollouts, and ROI tracking.
* Optimize cost and performance with Engineering and Finance through capacity and efficiency planning.
* Standardize templates, playbooks, and metrics that accelerate delivery across all AI programs.
Requirements
* 6+ years in technical program management (or similar delivery role), with 3+ years in data, ML, or platform programs.
* Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and data platforms (pipelines, APIs, eventing).
* Familiarity with the ML lifecycle and MLOps practices (datasets, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring).
* Experience in regulated industries, with fluency in controls, audits, and governance.
* Strong program management fundamentals: scheduling, dependencies, risk, change control, comms.
* Tools: Jira/Confluence, Git, CI/CD, SQL basics; exposure to Palantir Foundry or LLM providers is a plus.
* Exceptional communication skills with both executives and engineers.
Preferred, but not required:
* Background in financial services, insurance, or lending. Hands-on experience with one or more: Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, MLflow, feature stores, vector DBs, or LLM frameworks.
* Experience setting up model governance and AI risk practices. Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) or AI/ML certifications (e.g., AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Google Cloud ML Engineer, Azure AI Engineer) a strong plus.
Benefits
* Work at the forefront of AI/ML innovation in life insurance, annuities, and financial services.
* Drive AI transformation for some of the most sophisticated financial entities.
* Competitive compensation, benefits, future equity options, and leadership opportunities.
