Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Reading – Hybrid working model

Key Responsibilities
1. Input to the Project Management Plan and other strategy and high-level control documentation.
2. Undertake studies and develop solutions to deliver the project’s end point requirements.
3. Prepare documentation to support project delivery, including:
Control Plans
Method Statements
Risk Assessments
LTQR documentation
4. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to identify services, plant, and equipment required.
5. Liaise with procurement to ensure all items are procured in line with company procedures.
6. Manage project documentation.
7. Liaise with supervisors to support coordination and management of operatives and technicians.
8. Manage operatives and technicians as required under the guidance of the Project Manager.
9. Promote effective communication and collaboration across disciplines to achieve project goals.
10. Support the Project Manager with:
Management of activities in accordance with the QSHEW Management System and best practice
Provision of information to maintain the project programme
Cost tracking and forecasting
Identification and communication of project risks and opportunities
Stakeholder liaison and management
Subcontractor and supplier management and expediting
Qualifications
11. Degree in a technical discipline – Desirable
12. Membership of a professional/technical body – Desirable
13. IOSH Managing Safely or H&S qualification – Training can be provided
Experience & Skills
14. Solid understanding of the project lifecycle – Essential
15. Familiarity with the UK nuclear sector – Essential
16. Knowledge of radiological controls and QSHEW systems – Desirable
17. Proficient in MS Office suite – Essential
18. Strong organisational and reporting skills – Essential
19. Ability to assess technical data and communicate across all levels – Essential
20. Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 standards – Essential
