Biosite is a trusted partner for the construction industry, specializing in biometric access control and workforce management software solutions since 2010. Our portfolio also includes integrated solutions for fire safety, site management software, and site surveillance technology, supporting safety, security, efficiency, and compliance on site. We have the software and hardware capabilities to deliver end-to-end solutions, with dedicated teams for manufacturing, software, installation, service, and support to ensure the best customer experience.
What you would do as our DevOps Engineer
As our DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering DevSecOps initiatives and collaborating closely with the senior DevSecOps Engineer, software engineers, architects, and product teams. Your role will involve designing and building foundational toolsets and capabilities that enable our teams to quickly bring new features to market.
You will also:
1. Implement high-quality technical solution deployments of DevSecOps principles (including production, test, and development environments) using Infrastructure as Code systems.
2. Contribute to the security of the estate and optimize cloud cost utilization.
3. Participate in projects or continuous improvement activities within change initiatives to meet functional and non-functional requirements within budget and timeline.
4. Provide out-of-hours support for business-critical issues on occasion.
5. Continuously educate yourself on best practices and methodologies.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone with:
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to confidently discuss and present to stakeholders at various levels.
* Broader knowledge of IT teams, including IT Operations, Development, and IT Service.
* Experience in DevOps and security, utilizing various Cloud platforms.
* Understanding of version control solutions, specifically Git/GitHub repositories.
It would be beneficial if you have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible and Terraform/Terragrunt, CI/CD tools within the AWS suite (CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy), container orchestration (ECS, Docker), serverless applications (AWS Lambda), working with compliant systems (ISO 27001, SOC-2, HIPAA, GDPR), and hold certifications in Scrum, LeSS, SAFe Agile, and AWS (especially CCP).
