Overview
This role assists and deputises for the Base Maintenance Chief Engineer and is largely responsible for maintenance execution planning ensuring efficient aircraft throughput. The role will work closely with the Production Planner, Base Maintenance Check Leads and Chief Engineer to plan, monitor and escalate any issues to minimise unnecessary delays.
This is a Monday to Friday role.
This role requires a dynamic, motivated individual able to build inter-departmental relationships. They will be a key player in the delivery of on-time aircraft from Base Maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Review Scope of Works, establishing a critical path and milestones for maintenance execution.
* Work closely with the Production Planner to create Workpacks and monitor progress.
* Manage the Base Maintenance “Teams” handover and status platform.
* Ensure preservation statuses are maintained for aircraft under Base Maintenance.
* Work with Base Maintenance Check Leads to review the execution plan and track key agreed milestones.
* Ensure any deviations from agreed milestones are highlighted to the Chief Engineer and relevant stakeholders.
* Work with Production Planner to manage day-to-day manpower allocation and document deficiencies.
* Assist to identify critical issues that may affect delivery of planned aircraft.
* Assist Base Maintenance Check Leads at critical stages of the check to streamline aircraft throughput.
* Maintain oversight of technical queries within Base Maintenance and supporting Check Leads to ensure timely resolution.
* Deputise for the Chief Engineer during periods of absence.
Qualifications
* Experienced with planning and executing Base Maintenance inspections
* Familiar with MS 365, and skilled with Teams and Excel
* Proven supervisory experience
* Cat C licence holder
