Job Responsibility:
The Corporate Communications Network Manager will report to the Network Capability Manager and work within the Technology, Strategy Regulation and Support Services directorate. The successful candidate will attract a salary of £57,680.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. This role offers blended working after a probationary period, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will manage the design, implementation, and support of the UKPN on-prem corporate network infrastructure. They will partner directly with our third-party Communications Service Providers (CSP) to provide direction, technical assurance, and ensure compliance with UKPN Policy, Process, Standards, and Strategy.
Principal Accountabilities include:
* Running the daily relationship with our CSPs to make the UKPN communication networks strategy a reality.
* Developing and implementing network procedures to support the UKPN communication network strategy.
* Designing repeatable network models to support our requirements for implementation by our third-party CSPs.
* Providing technical assurance of deliverables by our third-party CSPs, ensuring they meet requirements, policy, and standards.
* Managing all technical risk within the UKPN on-prem corporate network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have experience managing Communication Networks and hold a degree or equivalent industry qualifications/experience. They should demonstrate experience in IP network management, Extreme LAN switches, and configuration, as well as designing complex multi-vendor, multi-technology IP networks.
Technical proficiency is required in areas including TCP/IP, routing knowledge, Cisco Viptela SDWAN, and LAN resilience Technologies. The ability to produce detailed network drawings using AutoCAD & Visio is also essential.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Understanding of the regulatory environment impacting IT infrastructure, with an emphasis on compliance and cyber security, is necessary.
