An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the imaging department as the Clinical ServicesIT Integration Analyst.We are seeking an enthusiastic and initiative-taking individual to become part of our friendly and hardworking imaging team. You should have essential IT skills and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions to connect different software and hardware systems, ensuring they communicate and exchange data seamlessly. Besides manage SQLs on radiology database to help optimize the performance of our organization. The successful candidate needs to have experience with work in a clinical background, excellent communication, and teaching skills. The role will include day-to-day management of radiology IT systems including monitoring performance, first line support for the department. The post holder also expected to work out-of-hours as part of the rotational on-call system.
Main duties of the job
Designing, developing, maintaining radiology databases also implement and maintain database security measures
Writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation and automate delivery to stake holders across Trust.
Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity
Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues
Creating and maintaining database documentation
Assist with testing of new PACS and RIS and new systems or ways of working, which may implemented to improve data throughput such as DART Order Comms, TeraRecon, Astraia, Medica Teleradiology, Everlight Radiology etc
Administer the system on a daily basis to ensure correct and efficient operation.
Involved in auditing, fault reporting, troubleshooting and maintenance of the current PACS and RIS databases
Work flexibly in order to meet the changing needs of the Imaging service e.g. extended days, attending service disruption issues during out of hours.
Assist to provide weekly analysis of outstanding lists like vetting, unreported.
Assist to provide weekly demand trends on radiology requests, analysis of activity against KPI and turnaround times.
Create statics run for radiology leads and configure auto run on regular interval.
Integration support to SWLP IT on transition project of Cellular Pathology - Telepath to Winpath.
Integration support to SWLP IT on phlebotomy with the transitioning of the GP order comms system, like DART, to a new provider.

Education
Essential criteria
1. BSc(Hons) in computer science, data analytics, data management, statistics or equivalent
Desirable criteria
2. Further qualifications or accreditation related to digital transformation and deployment
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
3. Advanced knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and various order comms solutions and system integration and administration skills
4. SQL database skills for data handling and service management
5. Data analysis experience using advanced software tools
6. Have knowledge of RIS and PACS technology and where these technologies fit in an Imaging Department
7. Ability to identify the need for and to develop policy to support the operation of complex departmental workflow
8. Able to work flexibly based on needs of service
9. Understanding of data protection act and issues relating to clinical data
10. Ability to cope with work pressures and manage time effectively
11. Ability to make prompt decisions based on knowledge, experience and circumstances
