Eastertoun Primary School, located in Armadale, serves the local community. The setting caters to am, pm, and full-day learners aged between two and five. It offers spacious learning areas, a large outdoor garden, and forest area. The setting operates 50 weeks per year, with staff working flexibly on a rota across opening hours.
Eastertoun ELC seeks to appoint a highly motivated practitioner to join our Nursery team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a forward-thinking team, bringing knowledge of child development and responding to individual needs by providing high-quality interactions and learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of early-level play and development, a commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences, and the ability to work effectively as part of our nursery team to plan, evaluate, and report on children’s progress. They will also work in partnership with parents and external agencies to support our learners effectively.
This position is considered Regulated Work with children and/or vulnerable adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal employment offer is made by West Lothian Council.
