About the Role
As a SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering adapted lessons to meet EHCP targets and specific needs.
• Supporting both academic and personal development of learners.
• Collaborating with parents, LSAs, and therapists.
• Monitoring and tracking progress through individual learning plans.
• Using creative, multi-sensory approaches to engage learners.
• Building trust and rapport with students to boost confidence and self-esteem.
• Contributing to whole-school SEN strategy and development.
Experience and Qualifications
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working with SEN students in mainstream or specialist settings
• A patient, nurturing, and creative approach
• Understanding of inclusive pedagogy and behaviour support strategies
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams
Salary
This SEN Teacher position is paid to scale – MPS/UPS, plus possible SEN allowance depending on experience.
