Solicitor - Family Law - Bristol - NQ-4 Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (flexible and agile working considered)
Salary: £50,000 to £75,000, depending on PQE and experience
A highly regarded UK law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor (NQ-4 years PQE) to join its expanding and nationally recognised Family team in Bristol. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners within a collaborative, innovative, and award winning department at a pivotal moment of growth.
The Role
You will play a key role within a dynamic and entrepreneurial Family team, working closely with senior lawyers on high value, complex, and often international matters. Responsibilities will include:
* Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and delegation
* Supporting senior team members on high net worth and ultra high net worth financial cases
* Assisting with complex children matters, including international surrogacy, adoption, and modern family issues
* Engaging directly with clients and delivering exceptional client service
* Monitoring budgets, fees, and financial management of matters
* Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the team's profile
* Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices as part of a unified national team
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a motivated and ambitious solicitor with:
* NQ-4 years PQE in family law gained at a reputable regional, national, or City firm
* Strong technical grounding in some or all of the following:
o Divorce
o Financial remedy proceedings
o Nuptial and cohabitation agreements
o Child arrangements (including court work)
o International family matters
o Modern families (surrogacy, adoption, fertility law)
o ADR experience (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing work
* A commercial mindset and the ability to think strategically
* Strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Willingness to travel occasionally to London for hearings, conferences, and client meetings
* A proactive, collaborative, and forward thinking approach
