A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptional nurse/midwife to lead and influence the education and workforce of midwifery, neonatal, and CYP nursing.
As the Clinical Training and Education Senior Specialist for Midwifery, Neonatal, and CYP nursing, you will join a small but dynamic Nursing and Midwifery Team within the Workforce and Education Directorate in the Southwest region.
The role involves providing expert clinical education, practice, and policy advice to health systems, health, and social care providers. You will work closely with Accredited Education Institutes and act as an advocate for learners, collaborating with education providers and operational partners to embed the Safe Learning Environment Charter.
You will play a key role in delivering the regional ambitions of the NHS 10 Year Plan and the anticipated new CNO strategy, aimed at creating the future nursing workforce to ensure high-quality, safe maternity and CYP services now and in the future.
In collaboration with regional and national partners, you will create and deliver an annual plan with objectives aligned with the NHS 10 Year Plan and the CNO (England) Strategy.
You will be responsible for programme delivery for an assigned portfolio of local and regional programmes. Additionally, you will represent and present NHSE’s position regarding workforce strategy to external stakeholders, including Board-level groups such as ICS/ICB’s and education providers, often with demanding and complex agendas.
You will support the Senior Nurse and the Regional Lead for Nursing and Midwifery to achieve regional objectives, build stakeholder relationships, and influence networks to promote NHSE’s strategic goals.
