SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Telford, Shropshire Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Telford to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a real difference in their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Supporting children with specific needs in class, small group, and 1:1 settings Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities in line with EHCPs and individual needs Promoting positive engagement and progress across a range of learning and developmental areas Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with children with SEND (essential) Hold a minimum of Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) Have NVQ Level 2 qualification or above Be patient, approachable, and consistent in supporting children’s individual needs Be proactive and confident in engaging with learners across different settings Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Sensory Processing Difficulties Social Communication Difficulties Language & Social Interaction Cognition & Learning Support Training will be provided for the right candidate where needed.
