 
        
        Construction Quality & Cost Assurance Assistant Manager
We’re looking for a detail-driven Construction Quality & Cost Assurance Assistant Manager to ensure our workplace projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and value for money. You’ll play a key role in monitoring construction activities, safeguarding health & safety, and embedding sustainability and accessibility principles throughout delivery.
Salary: £39,825 - £44,250. Locations: Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds. Hours: Full-time.
Responsibilities
 * Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, building regulations, health & safety standards, and promote sustainability, accessibility and safety standards throughout project delivery.
 * Conduct site inspections and audits, document findings, and raise issues where necessary.
 * Assist in handling handover documentation, post-occupancy reviews and support the implementation of quality control plans and snagging processes.
 * Verify quantities and valuations submitted by contractors and suppliers; support cost tracking and reconciliation against project budgets.
 * Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals and change requests; support preparation of reports, dashboards and performance metrics for senior stakeholders.
 * Ensure all construction activities meet internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements; support audits and assurance reviews.
 * Liaise with integrators, design teams, contractors and workplace experience leads; represent the quality and quantity assurance function in project meetings and site visits.

 * Experience in quality assurance: advising peers and suppliers on embedding pre-defined processes and procedures.

 * Supplier performance: manage complex supplier queries, promote cost savings and reduce supply chain risk.

Additional experience (useful)
 * Interpret technical drawings and specifications; familiarity with BIM, IWMS, CAFM.
 * Digital transformation in building services: software, automation and AI.
 * Agile methodology and tools expertise: Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence and experience leading and working in agile team.
 * Adaptability: work at pace, prioritise tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
 * Experience managing complex change.
