Are you a passionate and experienced chef who wants to do more than just cook great food? At Spadework's award-winning Food Shed, every plate you serve helps support adults with learning disabilities, those living with dementia, and individuals in need of wellbeing or bereavement support.
We're a charity with a big heart, and our café sits right at the centre of it offering meaningful opportunities, independence, and connection through food, training, and shared purpose. Now, we're looking for an enthusiastic chef to join our friendly team in Offham, near West Malling.
What you'll do:
· Prepare and manage a high-quality food service for around 100 covers daily
· Cook a variety of light lunches and other dishes using seasonal ingredients
· Ensure food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness at all times
· Help manage stock control, wastage, ordering and rotation
· Deliver great service and adapt to dietary or special requirements
· Be proactive and self-managing during busy periods
What we're looking for:
· At least 2 years' experience in a kitchen environment
· Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3
· A passion for fresh food, a positive attitude, and a team spirit
· Someone who thrives in a purpose-driven environment and wants their work to make a difference
· Willingness to work 2 weekends out of 4
