About the Trust
Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital ICU Technical Services provides technical support to Critical Care units, including the Adult Intensive Care Unit, Paediatric, Neonatal Intensive Care, and High Dependency Units. These units are renowned for clinical excellence in tertiary care.
Job Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a technical department supporting various disciplines of Critical Care. Responsibilities include maintaining medical equipment, teaching and training, testing and calibration, physiological measurements, diagnostic assistance, and supporting Point of Care devices. Night and weekend shifts are required.
Candidate Requirements
* Relevant work experience for full senior position
* Degree in a relevant science subject or equivalent experience
* Interest in instrumentation and technology
* Trainee applicants from recent Physiological science graduates are welcome; training provided with progression to senior band 6 after training and competency completion
Training and Salary
Training salary as a percentage of Band 6 top, with progression after 1-2 years based on experience and competency.
