Night Care Assistant | Location: Lake House, Adderbury, Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour (plus weekend and NVQ enhancements available)
Contracted Hours: 14 Hours per week
Shift Pattern: 10:00pm - 7:00am; weeks 1 and 3: Friday and Saturday nights; weeks 2 and 4: Wednesday and Saturday nights
This home is set in an attractive residential cul-de-sac in the picturesque rural village of Adderbury, close to Banbury. Lake House offers a welcoming, warm atmosphere and is divided into four households that offer residential, respite and early-stage dementia care. The role involves supporting daily routines and personal care and helping create a happy, fulfilled life for our residents.
Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager and lead a team of carers to deliver outstanding care
* Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence
* Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
* Manage your time between supporting the team and ensuring the wellbeing of residents
* Support daily routines and personal care (washing, bathing, supporting toilet use)
* Create a caring environment by showing kindness, exceptional care and dignity in all interactions
* Build relationships and contribute to positive working and living environments
Qualifications
* Experienced senior carer or support worker, or individuals new to care, who can bring diverse life experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with residents and colleagues
* Ability to lead a small team and work collaboratively in a nurturing environment
* Willingness to participate in induction training and ongoing development opportunities
