The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geologist to join a respected consultancy with a strong reputation in ground investigation and engineering services. Working across a varied project portfolio, you will play a key role delivering and managing site investigation and geotechnical projects from tender through to interpretation and reporting. This role would suit a geologist with a minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience looking to take ownership of projects, support junior team members and contribute technically within a growing business.
The Role
* Planning and managing ground investigation projects
* Supervising site works including drilling, logging and sampling
* Factual and interpretative reporting
* Ground modelling and geotechnical assessment
* Foundation recommendations and earthworks input
* Supporting contaminated land and geoenvironmental assessments
* Liaising with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
* Mentoring junior engineers and geologists
* Contributing to technical delivery and project management
About You
* Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering geology / geotechnical investigation
* Experience managing and delivering site investigation projects
* Strong soil and rock logging and interpretative reporting skills
* Knowledge of geotechnical risk assessment and design principles
* Client‑facing and project management experience
* Chartered status or working toward chartership desirable
