Technical Manager - Construction Sector Location: London & South East (Sites in Midlands and London) Salary: Up to £56,000 £6,000 Car Allowance Benefits: 34 Days Holiday Bank Holidays | Enhanced Parental Leave | Professional Development Allowance | Pension Scheme | Flexible Working We are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a specialist construction business supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across the public sector, social housing, and general construction in London and the South East. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Construction or Project Management, strong commercial awareness, and a consultative approach to guide clients from project feasibility through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of technical support services across a portfolio of construction projects Act as a liaison between clients and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery and high standards Provide expert technical input throughout all stages of building programmes Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure client expectations are met Support contractors in adhering to compliance, technical standards, and pricing frameworks Maintain accurate records and audit trails using CRM systems Share best practices and ensure national standards are consistently applied Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders Manage and support a team of up to 10 individuals Candidate Profile: Valid UK driving licence (you must be able to drive across London and South East to various site locations) Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field Proven experience managing construction projects from feasibility to completion Background in social housing, public sector, or local authority construction projects Proficient in using CRM systems or similar project databases Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills Experience managing and developing teams What's in it for you?
