Job Description:
Further Information: There are exciting developments in Children’s Services at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council!
Majella McCarthy, our new Director of Children’s Services, joined us in April and is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
We have recently reviewed our structure, and through internal promotions and new investments, we are in an exciting position. We seek innovative, ambitious individuals who prioritize children and young people.
Following an internal promotion, we have a rare opportunity for a Service Lead of Early Help.
This role involves overseeing interventions such as family group conferencing, therapeutic teams, family solutions teams, and family hubs. The successful candidate will implement early help initiatives across the borough, ensuring children and families receive the support needed for sustainable, long-term outcomes.
We pride ourselves on strong partnerships and collaboration with local organizations to support children and families.
You will need a proven track record in fostering partnerships and an innovative approach to enhance family support services. You should be driven, dynamic, and capable of developing and transforming services to improve outcomes.
Join an ambitious organization and Children’s Service, which has significant potential and an empowering culture. Be part of a transformative phase that aims to positively impact lives for generations.
We offer regular supervision, learning and development opportunities, mental health and well-being support, and an excellent reward package including:
* A salary of £61,267 - £63,740 (plus pending pay award)
* Relocation support of up to £8,000 for your move to Stockton
* Flexible working arrangements, including working across Stockton locations and some from home
* 27 days annual leave, rising to 32 with 5 years of service, with options to purchase additional leave
* Generous Pension Scheme via LGPS, with options to pay extra for retirement planning
* Payment of your SWE Registration
* Access to employee benefits such as salary sacrifice Car Lease Scheme, retail discounts, employee assistance, physiotherapy, and more
