An established provider of environmental and drainage services is seeking an experienced HGV Tanker Driver to join their team on a 4 on 4 off night shift rota. Operating nationwide, the organisation delivers reliable and compliant solutions across liquid waste and drainage services. This role focuses on the safe transportation and handling of liquid waste while maintaining high standards of safety and service.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Drive and operate specialist tanker vehicles including jetting, suction, and vacuum tankers
6. Respond to emergency callouts such as blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents
7. Carry out collection and safe disposal of liquid and controlled waste
8. Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
9. Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle checks
10. Accurately complete job records and documentation
11. Ensure PPE is maintained and used correctly
12. Support wider teams when required and adapt to operational needs
The Successful Candidate:
13. Valid HGV Class 2 licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
14. Valid Tachograph card
15. Driver CPC qualification
16. Previous tanker experience (advantageous but not essential)
17. Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills
18. Knowledge or training in high-pressure jetting, first aid, or manual handling (desirable)
