MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
Within the business our Area Managers are known as District Managers.
Our District Managers are the drivers that create the Starbucks Experience in all our stores conveying the Starbucks mission - “With every cup, with every conversation and every community – we nurture limitless possibilities of human connection”.
We’re looking for a District Manager with previous experience of managing fast-paced, multi-site operations that will bring a passion for bringing joy to our partners and customers; if you have opened new sites before that would be a bonus as we are growing!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Business
* Challenge, support and inspire the Store Management team to achieve business results and contribute to the profitability of the business
* Drive the implementation of SFG UK and Starbucks Equity company programmes and collaborate with your teams to achieve strategic plans and provide insights for opportunities in trading, performance and business KPIs
* Utilising management information tools and financial reports to identify and address trends and opportunities, providing input to the annual budgeting, sales and reforecast processes
* Build relationships both internally and externally to support district-wide operations, understanding the store’s customer profiles and identifying opportunities to act on the customer needs and the needs of our local communities
* Support with managing new store openings, where applicable, in the district, playing an active role in all elements of the project to ensure the stores open on time
People
* Manages district-wide store management team by regularly conducting performance reviews and supports Store Managers to create their own development plans as well as their teams, have meaningful coaching conversations with all Partners that drives performance and facilitating any training programmes to develop the knowledge and upskill of our Partners
* Manage the district staffing levels, leading in partner development and training sign offs as well as the recruitment of new managers to maintain the district operational requirements
* Promoting the culture, values and mission of Starbucks by leading by example through integrity and honesty
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
* Demonstrated experience leading a team across multiple sites
* Strong at building relationships and excellent people management skills as well as being passionate with natural energy to drive your teams to achieve fantastic results and brand standards as well as deliver fabulous customer experience and consistent products every time.
* Confident, decisive communication style not only to communicate new launches, concepts and processes to your teams but to have the ability to motivate your teams
* The willingness to learn, be hands-on and take the lead on strategy and planning
* Proof of right to work in the UK on a full time, permanent basis
* Full UK Driving Licence
